"I am so happy that my son is spending his kindergarten year in a Montessori environment where his knowledge, self-control, kindness, sense of purpose, and confidence have all grown by leaps and bounds."
The Portland Montessori School offers a variety of programs, including our primary, also referred to as Children's House, and elementary programs, which guide children according to the Montessori method of education. Our Children's House program serves children aged 2 1/2 to 6. Our expanding elementary program currently serves students in grades 1 through 5, with plans to add grade 6 next year. Both programs are five days per week, Monday through Friday. Please download our Program Summary form for more detailed information. Our low student to teacher ratio in both programs ensures that each child receives the individualized guidance they need to reach their fullest potential.
We also offer before and after school enrichment as well as holiday camps to help parents whose workday extends beyond school hours. During the summer, the school runs Camp VIDA!, a summer camp with a variety of experiences designed for primary aged students.
